Are you looking to get more traffic to your online business?
There are a number of ways
to get online traffic names to your email list.
DEFINING TRAFFIC:
Traffic simply means your list of names or emails that you have generated for your business offer whether it be a product or service. You NEED traffic (mailing list) in order to survive and make any money! Without traffic, you have NO CUSTOMERS!
Imagine having a hot dog stand that sells the BEST hot dogs in the world but your location is in the middle of the desert! It wouldn’t matter if you had it opened every day at lunch and dinner time, you still would not have any or very many customers.
But, if you had a hot dog stand on the corner of New York City during lunch and dinner with thousands of people passing by, you most likely would sell out every day! Since there is traffic (customers) around your product, you ARE going to make sales.
Now, I am not suggesting you open a hot dog stand on a busy corner of New York City (although that would generate lots of sales) but today’s topic will examine how to get lots of traffic to your online site via the internet.
THE FIRST WAY TO GENERATE
TRAFFIC (CUSTOMERS):
Solo ads is the first example I am going to use in order for you to get online traffic.
There are MANY solo ad companies out there willing to help you get traffic to your online business.
The process is fairly simple:
You purchase clicks online and pay a certain fee per click.
This does not mean you get EVERY email that clicks on the ad.
It is very important that you have a capture page set up where the traffic can land on the first click.
This does count as a click and you will be charged for it.
You goal is to get the customer (traffic) to enter their first name and email address on your capture page before they move over to you handshake page or offer page.
Once they enter their email address you now have a customer that you can correspond with by sending that person emails and offers to get them to your offer page so they will purchase your product or service.
WHAT PERCENTAGE OF TRAFFIC WILL GIVE YOU THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS?
This really varies.
Some campaigns will yield an online traffic capturing emails of only 15%-20% (which is poor). Others may yield between 25%-35% and others 50% or more (which is considered very good).
If the capture page is not attractive or does not represent the interest of the customer vising your page, they may click away and not enter their information for you to capture their email address.
Your capture page must be clear, concise and very readable.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST PER CLICK?
Pay per click campaigns can range from 39 cents to over a dollar per click depending on the vendor.
DOES PAYING MORE FOR TRAFFIC (COST PER CLICK)
MEAN BETTER QUALITY?
The answer, not necessarily!
Some campaigns that cost over $1.00 per click can yield garbage and some cheap cost per clicks under 50 Cents can be outstanding. The same holds true the other way around.
The best thing to do is experiment with different vendors and see how your results are.
Personally, I will not use a vendor if my opt in rate is less that 35%.
This means that if I purchased 1,000 clicks and only 340 opted in where I captured 340 emails, I would only be achieving 34% opt in rate (not very good in my estimation).
If on the other hand, 500 customers opted in on my handshake page and left their email address, I would have a 50% opt in rate and 500 new potential customers.
THE DISADVANTAGE TO THE PAY PER CLICK WAY:
Simply put the disadvantage is the cost as it can become expensive
until you generate sales and online income.
THE ADVANTAGE TO THE PAY PER CLICK WAY:
The advantage is you will build your list or traffic of customers
much quicker this way and start generating sales much quicker.
The second example is advertising the natural way:
Getting traffic online can be achieved through writing your own articles, publishing them with the GOOGLE, YAHOO and BING search engines and then waiting for the position of your articles to be indexed in GOOGLE, YAHOO and BING.
Once indexed, your articles can move up to the FIRST PAGE so hundreds or even thousands of customers (traffic) can see your articles, read them and purchase your products or services.
THE DISADVANTAGE TO THE NATURAL WAY:
Obviously, this can take months on end to get not only indexed but move up into a first page position with GOOGLE, YAHOO or BING.
THE ADVANTAGE TO THE NATURAL WAY:
IF you have the drive and patience, then this is a good option because it will not cost you as much money since you will not be purchasing solo ad campaigns.
